Five Killed In Manila Hotel Casino Fire

Five people were killed and at least 24 people were taken to hospital after a fire broke out at the Manila Pavilion Hotel and Casino in Manila. The property owned and managed by  Pagcor have denied the fire started at a part of the resort which was under renovation.

Reports say that 300 guests were evacuated when the fire started and of those dead 4 were Pagcor employees whose families will receive a foxed compensation of P100,000 each.

Local sources are reporting that the Fire Department are looking into the sprinkler system that was not functioning at the time.
