Flutter Entertainment made the announcement on Tuesday 14 February that it was in consultation with shareholders into the viability of a US listing.
The online gambling giant which is listed on the UK Stock Exchange has made rumblings before on the possibility of a US listing for FanDuel as it is now its largest revenue generator over any other brand in its portfolio.
Flutter said in its statement: “The board has reached a preliminary view that an additional U.S. listing of Flutter’s ordinary shares will yield a number of long-term strategic and capital market benefits.”
It was back in March 2022 that Flutter was reported to be considering listing FanDuel on the US market and with the huge rise in betting activity in the US as more and more states legalise sports betting Flutter must feel the time is right to move forward.
The consultation with shareholders has begun and the company indicated that it would move ahead once they have the support of the shareholders and Board.
