Full Tilt Poker getting ready to turn lights on? [7]

Light at the end of the Full Tilt Poker (FTP) Tunnel for poker players

Pocket Kings Ltd which handles all the main support duties and technical positions for Full Tilt Poker (FTP), when the mighty Online Poker site was operational has now advertised some 14 roles with an Irish online recruitment agency jobs.ie, mainly in customer support positions. The new jobs were posted Tuesday 3rd April and offer applicants an initial 2-3 month contract, with the possibility of permanent employment after that.

Also to cheer the hearts of the long suffering poker players owed some $300 million in total by FTP is the news that Orinic Limited, a subsidiary of Full Tilt Poker, that had held a license for FTP with Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC), has now applied again for an Operator License.

The AGCC told us:

“Yes, we can confirm that an application has been received from Orinic Limited for a Category 2 eGambling license, as per the Current Applicants section on our website. As a matter of policy, we are unable to comment any further at this time.”

Can these two developments be coincidence? Most likely not and seems the Groupe Bernard Tapie (GBT) has managed to move significantly forward with their plans to re-open the once hugely popular poker site.

The iGaming Post tried to obtain a comment from GBT spokesman, but they were unable to deny or confirm these new developments in this long running story.

However it does seems after such a long wait by poker players there does now seem some light at the end of this long poker tunnel for them.

We did manage to speak to some industry professionals that told us, FTP will need more than just support staff, the company will need to recruit or re-hire their IT  and technical support teams.

Do not think that this means the lights will come on very soon for FTP2, if that is what it will be called, we were told that inductions, training in new procedures, along with recruiting IT and Technical staff and then training them will take some 6 to 8 weeks at least.

But for all owed money by the old FTP, it seems like very positive news and if these two new developments are indeed a signal Groupe Bernard Tapie has managed to plough their way into re-opening the poker site, they deserve a very big pat on the back by every poker player owed money by the old management.

The iGaming Post will keep you up to date with any new developments as they happen.
