The COVID-19 pandemic has wrecked havoc with event organisers over the last twelve months and Reed originally announced that G2E Asia this year would be pushed back to August 2021, from its normal May slot, however the organisers have again changed their mind and decided to make a digital version back to its staple May date.
The land based casino sector that G2E Asia rely on so heavily for their Asia edition have been hit badly and in turn supplier and providers, this probably had the decision to turn to a virtual event for Reed. That along with the flagship event G2E Las Vegas taking place in early October and planned for a face to face gathering has almost certainly prompted Reed to go online for G2E Asia.
