Gavin Isaacs To Take Playtech US Lead?

Since the announcement that Gavin Isaacs is leaving Scientific Games after being their CEO and more recently their Vice Chairman along with stepping down from the board last Friday rumours have been circulating as to where the industry legend is going to next.

Isaacs has been with Scientific Games since 2014 but now his time is up with the gaming company after overseeing the acquisition of industry rival Bally Technologies for $5 billion.

However the gaming executive has made it clear after twenty years within the gaming sector he is not leaving the industry and is certainly on the lookout for another role, albeit with the condition he remains in Las Vegas.

It seems now following two separate sources that Gavin Isaacs could be linking up with online gaming giant Playtech to launch their assault on the growing online gaming market in the US.

Jason Ader the activist investor who owns SpringOwl his investment vehicle, has made it clear that he sees Playtechs future growth coming from business within the US and with his 5% stake in the online gaming giant he has been pushing the firm to do just that.

Ader wants Playtech to focus on their core business gaming and also spoke about the companies founder Teddy Sagi who recently sold his entire stake in Playtech. Now with Sagi gone from Playtech and the company focusing towards online gaming solely it looks likely that the hiring of Gavin Isaacs as a possible Head of Gaming US would be a good move for Playtech and Ader’s desire to break into the US market.

Gavin Isaacs has only a month or so left with Scientific Games as a consultant and in the new year the announcement that Isaacs will be installed as the lead for Playtech in the US is a major possibility if the rumours are to be believed.
