Genting To Open Las Vegas Resort This Summer
Genting has said that their casino resort in Las Vegas which is now 90% completed will open this summer come what may. Resorts World Las Vegas which is Genting’s first resort in Las Vegas at a cost of $4.3 billion is nearing completion says Scott Sibella the president of Genting in the US.
In an announcement he said: “We hope Covid is behind us. If COVID isn’t behind us, we hope it is less restricted. But we’re opening next summer either way.”
He went on to say that construction, which is around 90% complete, is “rapidly moving forward.”
Las Vegas has just been told that from today casinos are allowed to operate now with 50% capacity from the current 35% allowed and Genting are hoping that the figures rises further as COVID-19 rollout vaccine helps ease infections in the state.
Genting says that the new resort will create some 6,000 jobs once operational and with Las Vegas having been hit hard by the global pandemic many in the state hope that the COVID-19 virus is in retreat.
