Gary Green says that following the announcement from IGT that it is looking into strategic options for its slots business including merger or sale of the business, Green has compiled a list of investors for the buyout of the business.
Green who is heavily linked to Native American Tribes has joined with them and Chinese investors to present an offer for IGT’s slot business which now only makes up a third of the companies business.
Green said on the potential offer: “We have reached the point that our new Private Equity entity can present a Highly Confident Letter and several strategic possibilities that we believe will appeal to IGT’s shareholders and potentially win the endorsement of Deutsche Bank, Macquarie Capital, and Mediobanca -the company’s financial advisors.”
The group are now asking for a meeting with IGT Chairman Marco Sala to discuss the offer, Green noted “I have a long history of being tangentially part of the IGT family through several iterations of its ownership. This is a natural next evolutionary step for both of us.”
