Iowa sports gambling could create $300million

Across the United States, a number of states have already taken the plunge to introduce the now legalised sports gambling and those that do are said to already be benefiting from the latest decision.

In May 2018, the United States Supreme Court overruled a previous decision and in doing so it paved the way for the introduction of sports betting.

Following its official launch toady, Iowa is now said to be the 11^th state to have legalised sports betting and the financial benefits could be huge.

Although it may take a few years for the states to see the actual benefits from the new move, it’s likely that the state could take up to £20 million a year in additional tax revenue.
