Job Losses Announced At PokerStars

The Stars Group who operate the world’s most popular poker site, PokerStars has announced that redundancies are to happen at its headquarters on the Isle of Man.

News outlets on the Isle have said that the exact amount of staff losing their jobs are not known but it is not expected to have a major effect to the economy.

The Manx office has confirmed the job losses and said it was to deliver ‘mid-term growth targets and long-term sustainable growth’.

However The Stars Group stressed that the Onchan Head base is still a “critical operational hub,” for the online gaming giant.
