King.com crowns smartphone move

KING.COM has bought smartphone developer Fabrication Games in a bid to expand onto Android and iOS. As part of the deal, the Swedish gaming company will take charge of Fabrication Games’ team of 12, along with its portfolio of games and developer tools.

Though no fee has been disclosed, PocketGamer.biz reported that it is in the “multiple millions of euros” and an assumption by Mobile App News stated that “the acquisition is priced in the talent range.”

King.com follows a number of casual and social gaming companies onto mobile and the deal should improve its ability to build new titles quickly.
