City of Dreams Mediterranean artist impression when completed
Melco Resorts the partner in the Cyprus casino resort under the name City of Dreams Mediterranean run by Melco Cyprus has announced they are ramping up recruitment for their launch of the main resort that is due to open in the second half of 2022.
According to a press release by Melco Cyprus the company is increasing its workforce by 260% over the coming months in readiness for the full opening, the full compliment of staff once open will reach 4,000 from the current 700 the company currently employs in its satellite casinos.
Melco Cyprus is a venture between Asian casino investor Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd and Cyprus-based conglomerate Cyprus Phassouri (Zakaki) Ltd. The partnership has a 30 year exclusive agreement with the government and the total cost of the development is understood to be half a billion euros.
