New Jersey’s online casino market returned to double-digit growth in September, with internet gaming win reaching $274.8 million, according to figures released by the state Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE). The result represents a 13.0% increase compared to the $243.1 million reported in September 2025 and marks a notable acceleration from August, when growth had slowed to 4.4% year-over-year.

September’s performance places the market near its record-setting levels. Online casinos had previously peaked at $276.9 million in July 2026, while December 2025 produced $273.2 million in revenue. September’s total sits just below those benchmarks, underscoring the consistency of the state’s iGaming sector despite fluctuations in monthly growth rates.

The cumulative picture remains firmly positive. Year-to-date internet gaming win stood at $2.40 billion through September 2026, an increase of 13.2% compared to the $2.12 billion reported over the same period in 2025. The trajectory suggests the state is on pace to exceed its full-year totals from 2025 by a significant margin.

The September figure also contrasts with the softer August result, when revenue of $259.3 million grew only modestly against a strong prior-year comparison. The reacceleration in September indicates that seasonal factors, such as the return of NFL programming and the ramp-up of fall marketing cycles, may have supported player engagement.

Competitive Landscape

Operator-level results continue to show a competitive and shifting hierarchy. FanDuel has widened its position among market leaders, while DraftKings and Golden Nugget remain prominent competitors in the state. Golden Nugget’s brands have historically posted strong monthly totals in New Jersey, and market-share dynamics among the top operators have remained fluid throughout 2026, with leaders frequently trading positions month to month.

New Jersey and Pennsylvania continue to account for the substantial majority of nationwide online gaming revenue, according to the American Gaming Association, reinforcing the state’s status as one of the most significant iGaming jurisdictions in the United States.
