New York August Sports Betting Revenues Lowest in Over 12 Months

New York

New York online sports betting figures for August painted a quite strange picture, with revenues for the state reaching $98.5 million for the month which is the lowest amount since July 2022, however the handle was up compared to the previous month and also compared to last year.

With gross gaming revenue (GGR) slipping down 1.1% from last year which stood at $99.6 million and was also lower than the $105.1 million last month by 6.3%.

However handle was much better with gamblers betting $1.1 billion for August which represents a rise of 27.6% compare to the same period in 2022 and 15.7% higher than the previous month.

The market leader by some way is FanDuel which left DraftKings in its wake with revenues of $41.1 for the month with a handle of $384.6 million.
