The Nugget Casino Resort has been sold for an undisclosed amount to Marnell Gaming following Nevada Gaming regulators approval of the sale.
With the sale of the Nugget it adds to the portfolio of the Colorado Belle and Edgewater Casino resorts in Laughlin, Nevada.
Marnell Gaming says it wants to invest $25 million in the next two years to renovate the Nugget’s two hotel towers and convention centre. The 1,000 slot machines in the casino will be also replaced.
Anthony Marnell the CEO of Marnell Gaming Said, “We are ready to quickly invest the capital needed to take the Nugget Casino Resort to the top of its game.”
“This is a long-term investment opportunity for us. The Nugget is an iconic property in a great location and we hope to be here for many years.”
It has also been agreed that the name “The Nugget Casino Resort” will remain with the new owners along with its current events calendar.
