Philippines Continues Growth with 2022 GGR Increase

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR) has announced the financial figures from gabling in 2022 showing gross gaming revenue (GGR) of PHP56.01 billion (US$1.02 billion) in the final quarter of the year, that represents a huge rise of 96.2% compared to the same period in 2021.

The full year GGR for 2022 came in at PHP184 billion ($3.35 billion) which is a 90.6% upturn compared to the full year of 2021 which was PHP96.55.

Manila’s Entertainment City made up 78.7% of all GGR for the 4th quarter in the gaming industry in the Philippines with a PHP44.06 billion, that represented a rise of 15% compared to the previous quarter.

With the Philippines now free of any COVID restrictions numbers are now returning to pre-COVID times and the hope is they will continue to increase as the sector grows.
