In total the pay out will total $41 million with the rest to be paid by insurers, back in February 2018 Wynn stepped down as chief executive of the company he founded and sold his entire shares in the company following allegations from multiple female employees that Steve Wynn put pressure on them to have sex with the casino mogul, however Steve Wynn has always denied this and said that sex was consensual.
The lawsuit brought by shareholders claims that the board at Wynn Resorts did little or nothing in stopping or preventing the former bosses alleged actions, the lawsuit itself is against the whole of the Wynn Resorts Board.
With the pay out it is agreed that there was no wrongdoing in connection to Steve Wynn’s alleged actions, however the settlement is still to be finalised by the court.
