Wynn Al Marjan Island Unveils 98-Berth Superyacht Marina Ahead of 2027 Resort Debut

Wynn Al Marjan Island has revealed details of Wynn Marina, a 98-berth superyacht marina that will serve as a waterfront gateway to the $5.7 billion integrated resort in Ras Al Khaimah, scheduled to open in September 2027. The facility is designed to accommodate super and megayachts of up to 85 metres, and, according to the developer, will offer capacity for more yachts and larger vessels than any hotel-attached marina in the United Arab Emirates.

A Marina Integrated Into the Resort Experience

The marina has been conceived as a direct extension of the resort rather than a standalone docking facility. Guests arriving by sea will have access to the resort’s accommodation, dining, entertainment, wellness and retail offerings. At the centre of the development will be a distinctive circular harbour, which Wynn describes as one of the defining features of the property, surrounded by terraces, restaurants and promenades.

The facility’s dimensions position it within a specialised segment of the regional market. Marinas capable of berthing vessels in the 85-metre class remain limited across the UAE, where most hotel-attached facilities are configured for smaller craft. IGY Marinas was previously appointed as the marina operator for the development, bringing experience in managing superyacht destinations in international markets.

Wynn Al Marjan Island is a joint venture project led by Wynn Resorts and is expected to become the first integrated resort in the UAE to feature regulated gaming. The 70-storey tower will offer approximately 1,530 rooms and suites, alongside more than 20 dining venues, a theatre, retail outlets and extensive gaming facilities. The project budget has risen to approximately $5.7 billion, following a confirmed schedule adjustment that moved the opening to September 2027, with Wynn Resorts attributing the delay in part to supply chain and geopolitical disruptions in the region.

The marina announcement aligns with broader efforts to position Ras Al Khaimah as a luxury tourism destination. Al Marjan Island, a man-made archipelago in the emirate, has attracted significant investment in hospitality and residential developments in recent years, with the Wynn project serving as its centrepiece.
