Wynn Probe Launched by Nevada Regulato

An official investigation has been launched by the Nevada Gaming Control Board into the sexual misconduct charges against casino owner Steve Wynn. The regulatory body’s chairman, Becky Harris said that the board is looking to conduct the said investigation in a judicial and thorough manner. This decision came after a preliminary assessment of the charges against Wynn.

It is in the power of casino regulators to restrict Wynn’s entry and participation in the industry over charges that he was responsible for sexually harassing his female employees at various resorts for years, as reported by legal experts and former officials.

According to Nevada Gaming Control Board’s former chairman, AG Burnett, there is a wide variety of options available to Nevada regulators with regards to how they could potentially discipline a licensee. These options include fines, complaints, and even revocation.

The accusations against Steve Wynn were published in the WSJ on January 26 and are being looked into by officials from all over the world, including Macau and Massachusetts. The allegations state that 76-year-old Wynn forced massage professionals to perform certain sexual actions on him. He also allegedly paid a sum of $7.5 million for settling claims made by a beautician. She said that he had forced her to have sex with him.

Wynn Resorts Ltd.’s independent directors are also busy performing an investigation into the case. On his part, Wynn has rejected all wrongdoings and said that he couldn’t even imagine assaulting a woman.
