Provider now approved for the hosting of gaming platforms and the distribution of gaming software in recently regulated market
Yggdrasil titles, including the recently launched Bicicleta, will soon be available to operators which hold a Romania Category 1 licence, with the full portfolio to follow shortly.
Licence holders will also enjoy access to the provider’s collection of in-game promotional tools, BOOST™, and social media tool, BRAG.
Last year, Romania passed new gaming regulation that opened up the country to compliant and licensed operators and providers.
Yggdrasil has been granted licences in the UK, Gibraltar and Romania in recent months, in addition to its Malta licence.
Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said: “It is fantastic news that Yggdrasil slots will now be available to customers in Romania.
“Gaining this licence underlines our commitment to local regulated markets. We are working hard to strategically expand our jurisdictional reach and expect to see our licensed European footprint continue to expand.”
