Bet365 See Revenues & Profits Fall

Bet365 the online gambling firm showed that for the 2019/2020 period ending 29th March the company saw revenues fall by 8% to £2.8 billion compared to £3.06 billion the previous period.

Profits for the company that include not just the gambling business but Stoke City Football Club suffered a 75% fall to £194.7 million compared to £758 million the previous reporting year. However there is a loss of £87.2 million attributed to the football club because it was relegated to the second tier of English football.

However staff numbers at the company rose in the year by 469 to now 5,177, but the biggest news covering the national newspapers is the companies boss Denise Coates as she picked up an eye watering £421 million for the year in dividends as the company is privately owned, in addition to this Ms Coates pocketed an extra directors dividend of £95 million during the year, making Ms Coates the highest paid company director in the country.
