Elaine & Steve Wynn Allowed To Sell Their Shares Amid Caesars Entertainment Rumours

Wynn Resorts rumours continue about merger

The long running dispute between Steve Wynn and his ex-wife Elaine Wynn on the ability to sell their shares in the company without the permission of the other has ended.

A Nevada District Court has approved the agreement between both parties to now allow them to sell their shares without permission. This is seen as a marker for the former CEO of Wynn Resorts who was forced to resign from his own company following allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour allegations to sell off his shares.

Steve Wynn holds some 11.4 million shares in Wynn Resorts and Elaine Wynn 9.3 million shares which in total makes up 21%.

It is expected that both Wynn’s will now look at offloading their shares and the question is will a gaming operator look at this as a possible move to acquire controlling majority in Wynn Resorts?

One rumoured operator Caesars Entertainment would dearly love to control Wynn Resorts especially with its business in Macau.
