Back in 2013 Dutch law enforcement officers raided the premises of Sheriff Gaming and its parent company Bubble Group in what prosecutors say Flapper and other were involved in illegal gambling, money laundering and even drug trafficking.
The former CEO has always denied the accusations and said he has not broken any laws and has even taken out a €75m lawsuit against the Dutch government arguing he has done nothing against the law.
Of all the defendants prosecutors have targeted Flappers saying he made the most money from the illegal operations behind Sheriff Gaming and are calling for 4 years in jail with the brothers getting some 3 years.
The trial is expected to last until the end of December.
