Full Tilt Poker shut down date given

Full Tilt Poker players will be migrated over to the PokerStars platform on the 17th May according to a press release from Amaya Gaming, the news comes after it was announced earlier in the year that Full Tilt Poker was being mothballed and the company was to bring all players to the PokerStars platform.

Michael Josem, head of public relations at PokerStars and Full Tilt, in a press release, stated players can expect to play on a single, centralised network by the 17th May, or at least by the end of the 2016 Spring Championship of Online Poker, which runs till the 22nd May.

All FTP players will be moved to the PokerStars platform, with all of their cash and loyalty points automatically transferred when the merger goes through,

“In the coming days, Full Tilt players will be emailed direct and personal information on how this will affect them specifically, which depends on a variety of factors including their jurisdiction and the status of their PokerStars account (if any),” Josem said.

“In many cases, Full Tilt players who already hold a PokerStars account will not need to update any information or transfer their account assets (loyalty points, cash balances etc) which will be transferred automatically to their PokerStars account and they can simply log in to their PokerStars account and enjoy all the great benefits on offer, including even more game choices and bigger tournaments.”
