June the 6th will mark a milestone for Pennsylvania and for legalising online gambling in the state, lawmakers have given that date for one more chance to hear amendments to the various online gambling bills swaying around the legislature which opens up again on the 6th June and that is the date given to hear and decide which if any will get a run a having the Governor to sign.
On the face of it Representative John Payne is advocating and sponsoring his bill A7619 which has the backing of 11 of the 12 casinos within the state but many think that Representative Marc Mustio’s A7622 bill has more traction as it opens up more business to gambling parlours, taverns and social clubs the opportunity to have video gaming terminals.
Whichever of the two which may prevail all of those supporting online gambling in the state hopes one will, as John Payne who has been a huge supporter of internet gambling being legalises retires at the end of this year fails to get the governors signature now many feel Pennsylvania will not have another chance or champion for online gambling for a long time to come.
