The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau for Macau reported that gross gaming revenues (GGR) for the first quarter of 2021 rose by 2.6% compared to the same period in 2020 to MOP32,04 billion, the rise which is smaller than thought it would be was that Macau last year had an excellent January helping to keep revenues strong even thou later the pandemic hit.
One small piece of good news is that the April figures shown for 2021 were the best revenues since the pandemic started last year, helping to boost hopes that the recovery in Macau is underway.
