Macau’s Public Security Police released the figures from the weekend of the holiday period that lasts from 1st October till 8th October.
On the first day arrivals totalled 15,500 down 88.5% on last year, with 22,116 arriving on day two still down a massive 86% and on day three 20,726 down 87%.
Last year a total of 985,000 visited Macau during Golden Week, which last year ran from the 1st October till 7th October, estimates given the current numbers would have the total amount this tear at around 140,000 for the entire holiday period.
