Macau suffers two years of falling revenues with May figures

May spelt the 24th consecutive drop in gaming revenues for Macau casino operators with a fall of 9.6% compared to the same period last year and an even greater fall than analysts had expected.

The former Portuguese colony that is still the largest gambling location in the world saw revenues of $2.3 billion in total for the month reported the local government authority for gambling.

Local economic growth for Macau that is home to some 600,000 suffered a fall of 13% for the first quarter of 2016, which much relies on gaming.
