Jeffrey Soffer, the son of Donald Soffer the billionaire real estate developer who wants to build a casino under their Fontainebleau Miami Beach brand, however Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber has already hired a legal team to stop this happening.
Local news company Local10 are quoting Dan Gelber saying: “What they are going to want to do apparently is take casino licenses, take gaming licenses, gambling licenses that exist right now in parimutuels — slot machines, card games, and things like that — and allow them to become portable.”
The Soffer family that operate the development company Turnberry Associates are keen to develop casinos in Miami and now with Trump also in the mix things are heating up in Florida as a new gambling bill is being drafted and could revealed on Monday 22nd March.
