Playtech H1 Profits & Revenues Down

Online gambling giant Playtech announced their half yearly results ending June 30 showing a fall of 44% in total revenues to €476.7 million compared to €688.7 million in 2019.

Profits also fell for the company by 15% to €162 million, however their white label B2C which includes the Sun Bingo brand saw a rise of 21% to €29.5 million.

Playtech said that the impact of the global pandemic on sporting events impacted on the companies results but during July and August they had seen strong cash generation and were hopeful of second yearly figures reflecting this.

The company also said they continued to focus and expand into important markets such as the US and Latin America.
