The IGA 2021 Is Back & Here Is Why You Cannot Miss It

The International Gaming Awards (IGA) is back following the announcement that the World’s most recognised awards ceremony for the gambling industry is to be held on the 29th July at the stunning Savoy Hotel in London.

Delayed from its normal February slot because of the dangers with COVID-19 the July event will be a celebration of innovation and endeavours through what has been the most difficult period in a lifetime.

With the latest news that in the coming months a tablet form to fight the effects of COVID along with the major rollout of vaccines has prompted the expectation of normality returning to the events industry by summer.

To this already major companies within the gaming sector have already supported the IGA as sponsors and the list grows every week.

Colin Thompson the co-founder of the IGA said of the new date: “It has seemed like a long time ago now since the IGA2020 and the feedback from the industry has been a positive one for the July date. Not just our industry but the whole world wants to get back to normality,” Thompson went on to say, “the IGA has adapted their land based categories to allow our friends who have been hit hard by the pandemic to take part.”

With online gaming continuing to make huge strides during the last year the interest shown by that sector is amazing and shows that people want to get back to meeting, enjoying a normal life and doing business face to face.

In line with government guidance the IGA will ensure the safety of both attendees and staff and with international flights to begin in early June the IGA expects to see an international audience at what has become the recognised event of the year for the entire gaming industry.

So far sponsors include, Betconstruct, Digitain, Pragmatic Play, Melco Resorts, Ultraplay, BBIN, 1XBet, Pilot Games and Galaxy Entertainment and with more to be announced soon.

Nominations and categories are open (closing date 18th May) and as always FREE to enter, the IGA is a charity focused event and supports deserving charities such as Care International, Children with Cancer and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

By taking part and booking seats along with entering our charity focused fundraising you help to support these truly amazing charities and the work they do.

Good luck to all those entering the nominations and we look forward to seeing on the 29th July at the Savoy Hotel.
