Unikrn Ushers In Video Game Gambling In the United States With Its New Esports License

Video game aficionados in the United States have reason to cheer, what with the arrival of a new segment of online gambling into the country. Las Vegas, Nevada-based esports betting company Unikrn has finally procured the license to start a new line of video game gambling sports.

Unikrn is the world’s first esports betting company that has been built (and operated) on a blockchain. The company processes up to 9000 transactions per second. Their high-level security and top-grade operational features have made Unikrn, one of the most trusted online gaming services provider around the world.

The license, which was granted by the Isle of Man, allows Unikrn to offer its clients a wide range of video game-based live betting esports. Company officials state that the management is already involved full-swing in creating unique market-specific competitive video games for Europe, Latin America, United States and South Korea. If these projects take off successfully, video gamers in other parts of the world may soon see Unikrn esports offered in their countries too. The company which already has a large online presence in over 20 countries hopes to become the biggest player in the global esports category.

The new live betting video games will work on a skill-based model. Players can place their bets based on their own skill at the game. Players need to log in their age, location and gaming preferences and then link the game they’re playing to the Unikrn platform. Here, they can view their winning odds for the game and place their bets in a large pool, before proceeding to play the game. Winners can claim and cash-out their wins or wager these wins against another game in the future. Unikrn hopes to include the upcoming November 4th League of Legends World Championship on their esports platform.

With the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) recently overturned, Unikrn CEO Rahul Sood believes that video game-based competitive gambling will have a large demand in the US market. There is already a fully-functioning esports wagering unit at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Here players can bet on both video game tournaments and poker tournaments. Now Sood and his team plan to introduce the same concept in 41 other states of the United States through their product rollouts. For now, the range of video games that will be available in the United States will cover only commercially successful games. Additionally, the company is only making available competitor bets in the country, with spectator betting as a distant possibility.
